Why is Front Lacing not Appropriate for Waist Training?

Today, when there are many corsets manufacturers available in the market, you have many options available. Often you might get quite confused with the options available and may have several questions in mind. One such question that you may have is that when the size and type of the corset is an important factor, why is back lacing so important. Quite obviously, front lacing is convenient as you do not need to take help from someone else to tighten the laces at the back. But most experts advise the back lacing corsets only to the appropriate one for waist training.

Why is it so?

Visible Bulges

If you have a smaller waist and do not have a belly pooch, you can still try out wearing a front-lacing corset just to give a particular shape to your waist. But if your purpose is also waist training, a front lacing corset can be troublesome. If you have just started training your waist, the corset ends don't need to close initially after tightening the laces. The ends slowly start coming close as you start losing the inches of your waist after a couple of weeks.

But during this initial phase, when the edges are not closed, there are high chances that the squeezed fat will show up somehow in the form of bulges from this gap. This is only the case if you are lacing up your corset at the front.

Usually, you will have firm muscles at the back that does not show up as bulges from the gaps. Hence, if you are training your waist, getting a back-lacing corset always works great.

Uncomfortable and Painful

While the front-lacing corsets may seem to be very convenient and comfortable, you will feel just the opposite when you start wearing them as a waist trainer. If you are training your waist, you have to start tightening the laces with passing days. Initially, you may feel super convenient lacing the corset at the front faster and moving out of your home. But after you have seasoned the corset well, it comes time for starting tightening the laces. Here comes the actual problem.

Your belly area has soft muscles under which organs such as intestines, stomach, and others. When you start tightening the corset's laces at the front, you start exerting excessive pressure on these organs too. Soon, you will start experiencing excessive pain in your belly and your internal organs.

The discomfort and the pain can enhance so much that ultimately you have to leave the waist training process. This does not happen when you are making use of the back-lacing corsets. When you tighten the laces at the back, they do exert pressure on your back, keeping the organs safe from extreme pressure. This way, you can keep on tightening the laces continuously without getting hurt.

Smooth Silhouette

The next most important reason why it is always better to get a back-lacing corset is a smooth silhouette. If you have just started waist training, there will be a gap between the edges, and there will be not many laces left after tying the knot. But as the gap starts diminishing, the length of the leftover lace after tightening will start increasing.

Here you need to make some strategies such as either getting a double knot or adjusting it somewhere else. Whatever it is, if you have lacing at the front, the bumps of the laces will show up on the dress fabric that you are wearing over your corset. Of course, if you have a stylish corset that you can wear over your attire, this will not be an issue. But if you are stealthing with the corset, the bumps of the laces can show up from the attire fabric, and it will make it obvious that you are wearing a corset underneath your dress.

When you have a back-lacing corset, you do not have to worry much about the bumps. This because such bumps of laces are not very much visible at the back. Secondly, people do not notice any such thing at the back of a dress. Finally, you notice a smooth silhouette at the front and at the sides of the dress you are wearing.

Thus, now you must surely understand why most women prefer to wear a back-lacing corset in place of a front-facing one. There can be many corsets that may have an exquisite design with front lacing. However, this may look quite good for styling purposes when you are wearing it over your dress. But if you are serious about waist training, front-lacing is not a great idea. Hence, getting a back-lacing corset is the best option that you have.
